I'm conducting a study that explores women's experience of burnout during Lockdown as part of my Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (DCPsych) at the NSPC (New School of Psychotherapy & Counselling), validated by Middlesex University. The study has been awarded ethical approval by the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling and Middlesex University.
I am looking for participants who meet the below research criteria. Participants will be asked to take part in a 60 to 80-minute online interview. You must have access to a private location and device for a video call, without interruption or being overheard. Please contact me if you meet all the following criteria – you:
1. Experienced burnout during the COVID-19 Pandemic from April 2020 to end June 2021
2. Were aged 35 to 44 years at the time
3. Had 2 or more children
4. Were partnered or married
5. Were in full-time employment
6. Currently, you must be recovered for at least six months or must bein therapy or part of a support group
Why Should You Consider Participating In This Study?
I believe that sharing your experiences of burnout will contribute to a better understanding of burnout, its treatment, and recovery, which can be helpful to other burnout sufferers and the helping profession. The research findings will be presented in workshops and published via various channels so that others can benefit from new knowledge and insights about burnout.
What Happens If I Decide To Participate?
Once you have expressed your interest in participating, I will contact you to complete a short screening and demographic meeting to establish how you meet the research criteria. Women who meet all the research criteria will be invited to a 60-80 minute online interview.
